Jeffrey R. Jaglowski, M.D. is a fellowship trained Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon who specializes in disorders of the knee and hip in addition to all sports related and orthopedic injuries. He has a focus on rehabilitation, prevention, and surgical intervention for injuries utilizing arthroscopic and open surgical techniques to maintain joint function and help promote active lifestyles. He currently serves as a team physician and consultant for the United States Olympic Ski and Snowboard teams.
Dr. Jaglowski received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine at Mercyhurst University in his hometown of Erie, Pennsylvania. Clinical experience with collegiate athletics over those years led him to certification as an Athletic Trainer. He subsequently pursued graduate studies at the Pennsylvania State University in Hershey, Pennsylvania where he received his Master of Science degree in Anatomy and performed basic science and clinical cancer research for which he received numerous grants. Following graduate school he began medical school at Penn State where he continued to foster interests in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society and graduated with honors.
Dr. Jaglowski completed residency training at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program in Boston, Massachusetts and served as chief resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital, while also working at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, and Children’s Hospital of Boston. During his time in Boston he worked with several professional sports teams and was able to care for and treat several victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
He then received subspecialty training in sports medicine, knee, and hip arthroscopy at the prestigious Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. During his time in Vail he travelled with the U.S. Ski team and worked with numerous professional athletes. He also completed and published research involving the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
Outside of medicine, Dr. Jaglowski enjoys skiing, golfing, fishing, hiking, ice hockey, and guitar. He looks forward to being part of the Clear Lake community with his wife Heather, who was born and raised in the Houston area.
Dr. Jaglowski is accepting new patients and accepts most insurance policies. He performs his surgeries at Houston Methodist St. John’s Hospital, Houston Physicians Hospital, Bay Area Regional Medical Center, as well as the Oprex Hospitals in Houston and Baytown, which provide concierge transportation to and from the surgery centers.
